Almost exactly five years ago on January 6 our liberal friends had no problem with a Capitol police officer shooting Ashli Babbit as she climbed unarmed through a broken window into the Capitol in an “armed insurrection” against the United States government.
What is going on with our liberal friends training divorced mothers of three to engage in protest against ICE agents searching for illegal aliens as prescribed by law?
Let’s analyze the January 6 and January 7 narratives from the liberal point of view.
For our liberal friends the violent Capitol riots on January 6 were an existential threat to the System. OMG! What if the Senate had thrown out the official results of the 2020 election and considered alternate slates of Electors! It would have been the end of the world as we know it.
Er, no, dear liberal friends. But we might have got a look into the national problem of mail-in voting and ballot harvesting.
For our liberal friends the peaceful protest against ICE in Minneapolis on January 7 was a noble effort by devoted activists to prevent the deportation, by an authoritarian regime and its ICE thugs, of innocent migrants just trying to make a living.
Er, no, dear liberal friends. Peaceful protests have nothing to do with the case.
The situation in Minnesota is that the electorate is probably slightly Republican. So how do our liberal friends manage to keep Minnesota blue? Perfectly simple. Minnesota goes Democrat because of the monolithic Somali vote, and the monolithic Somali vote is maximized by ballot harvesting.
But Somali clan lords don’t harvest the Somali vote for Democrats for free. They require just compensation for their heroic service. And that’s where the Somali fraud scandal comes in. The Walzes and the Freys need to keep those Somali clan lords well fed with government grants in order to get the Somali vote delivered to the Democrats at each election and so they can continue in power.
And so it goes until Stein’s Law takes effect: “If something cannot go on forever, it will stop.”
Or, as Margaret Thatcher taught us: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”
Hey, it’s not just socialism. Most regimes eventually run out of other peoples’ money. Here’s why:
The only thing Democrat politicians know is to promise goodies in order to get elected. The only thing dictators know is to license their regime thugs — street gangs, drug cartels, you name it — to prey upon the people: “nice little business you got here,” and so on.
But there’s a problem. The supporters of the politicians come to take their goodies for granted: they demand more. The regime thugs of the dictator reduce the economy to rubble as they loot the “nice little businesses” to ruin.
That’s why the leaders of all the blue states just keep ramping up their taxes. Right now, Gov. Newsom wants to loot the tech billionaires with his Billionaire Tax Act, a one-time 5% wealth tax on anyone with a net worth over $1 billion. Why?
It’s because California Democrats need the votes of all the state workers and school employees and NGOs and the whole Fraud Industrial Complex of which you’ve heard tell, and they need it to win the next election.
That’s why the Maduros and the Khameneis come to ruin. If you hand over the oil business to regime thugs they will reduce the oil industry to rubble. They know nothing about creating a vibrant economy: they are just regime thugs who live by thuggery.
We conservatives and libertarians and racist-sexist-homophobes live in a bubble. We assume that everyone knows what we know, that the market economy is the best thing humans have invented since patriarchal monogamy. But we are wrong.
Sensible economic policy is an accident. Ludwig Erhard and Wilhelm Röpke authored Germany’s Wirtschaftwunder in 1948, creating 7-8 percent annual growth through the 1950s, but who remembers them now?
Reagan and Thatcher rescued the U.S. and UK from “stagflation” in the 1980s, but my lefty cousin in England sported a “Thatcher the Snatcher” yard sign and U.S. liberals sneered about “trickle-down” economics. President Javier Milei has rescued the economy of Argentina, but everyone just complains.
For every Democrat in politics the only thing that matters is hanging on to power. The only way they know is by looting the economy for their supporters.
And, for window dressing, they send out the Protest Industrial Complex to pretend that they care about the poor helpless migrants, because they need to harvest their votes.
